The Mela also provided an opportunity for the residents to organise a fun-fair which comprised stalls of snacks, cold-drinks, ice-cream and games. People of all religion, caste and age enjoyed the Mela as well as the fun-fair.

Rao and his wife were presented with shawls by the Samaj members. The couple later also posed for photographs along with the children who played the characters of Ram, Sita and Hanuman during the function. The Mela concluded with Raoigniting Ravan's effigy by an electrically remote-operated switch followed by a grand display of fireworks.
