Inflation crosses 2 pc mark
For the first time in 11 weeks, the inflation rate crossed the two per cent barrier at 2.02 per cent on September 11, primarily on higher food articles and non-food articles prices. It was 1.94 per cent the week before.

Tatas sell stake in oil field
Tata group petroleum ventures firm Tata Petrodyne has decided to sell 30 per cent of its equity in Cambay Basin Oil Exploratory Block CB-OS/2, off the Gujarat coastline, to British upstream player Cairn Energy.

BoB to enter insurance
Bank of Baroda (BoB) has submitted its proposal to foray into the insurance business to the central government and is understood to be scouting for partners for the venture.
