Clinton welcomes Vajpayee-Sharif border summit
President Clinton has welcomed the successful summit last weekend between Prime Minister Vajpayee and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and offered to continue working with the two countries to promote progress in the region.

In a severe setback to the `strategic relationship' President Clinton has sought with China, US rejected proposed sale of a satellite to China due to national security concerns, The Wall Street Journal said today.
