Shares surge ahead on buy back clearance
Stock markets across the country gained appreciably as the Union Cabinet on Monday cleared the two major proposals on allowing corporates to buy back their shares and completely freed inter-corporate investments. While the Cabinet met in the evening, buying started in the markets right from the morning itself. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex rose by 105 points.
