The Inter-Surveillance Co-ordination Group of stock exchanges (ISCG), which met at SEBI headquarters in Mumbai on Thursday gave a clean chit to the Unit Trust of India's US-64 scheme.

Business confidence has plunged to a two-year low with majority of the industry predicting either a worsening of the situation or continuation of the current subdued business scenario, according to survey conducted by Confederation of Indian Industry.
Pond's merger with HLL formalised
The merger of Pond's India Ltd (PIL) with Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) was accomplished on Thursday with retrospective effect from January 1, 1998, which is the appointed date for the merger under the scheme of amalgamation.
