Moynihan discloses Nixon's pro-Pak pact
US Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan has questioned Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's claim that China played a "significant and helpful role in trying to move India and Pakistan back from the brink of nuclear arms race". The immediate beneficiaries of the bill will be grain farmers in the US, who sell significant quantities of wheat to Pakistan. President Bill Clinton also indicated that he was looking for a further easing of sanction in other areas.
