British Library exhibition
The British Library, Pune is organising a thematic display of books on environment and related issues on Friday. In addition, there will be presentations by Ecological Society, Green Thumbs, Mashal and World Wide Fund for Nature between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.A film on environment conservation by the forestry department will be screened from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the library premises.
Speech on Union budget
Indian Institute of Materials Management, Pune branch, has organised an evening speech on `Union Budget 1998-99' at the Institution of Engineers, Pune at 6.30 p.m. on Saturday
Eminent economist D R Pendse will deliver a speech on the occasion. The programme is open for members of the institute as well as interested participants from industries and commerce in and around Pune.
Seminar
A national seminar on `Irrigation water management for sugarcane' is being held at Vasantdada Sugar Institute on Friday. A total of 30 papers will be presented at the seminar.
